Licensed Escrow Officer

Golden Dog Title is seeking a Licensed Escrow Officer to perform advanced duties related to all facets of escrow processing. They are required to exercise extreme independent judgement and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to handle any situation that may arise during the escrow process. This is a non-exempt position, with a discretionary bonus, and will sit in our Austin, TX office.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToAbility to complete routine residential, refinance or builder escrow transactions, including document preparation and the accurate preparation and submission of the closing disclosureAbility to read and understand title commitmentsAbility to resolve title issues (e.g. corrective deeds, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, mineral rights, boundary disputes and encroachments)Understands real estate regulations and guidelines.Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelinesCoordinates the closing between all parties to the escrowReturns all calls, voicemails and e-mails in a timely mannerPerforms other duties as assignedMaintains cordial relationship with realtors, lenders, builders, buyers and sellers to promote/solicit businessAdheres to company policies and guidelines.Experience, Skills, KnowledgeTexas State Escrow License is requiredMust be a certified notary public in the state of TexasHigh school degree or equivalent required- Associates or Bachelor's Degree is preferredMinimum of 2 years escrow experience is requiredKnowledge of SoftPro is preferredProficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and WordPhysical DemandsWhile performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
