Welder - 2nd shift

Welder Shift: 2nd Shift (3:15 PM – 11:45 PM) Training: Candidates start on 1st shift for about a month before moving to 2nd shift. Summary: Responsible for performing MIG welding on carbon steel, with TIG welding experience—especially open-root welds—strongly preferred. This is a physically demanding role in a non-climate-controlled steel fabrication shop. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Perform MIG welding on carbon steel. Perform TIG welding, particularly open-root TIG welds (Inconel experience preferred). Read blueprints (required only for fitter roles). Use basic shop math and a tape measure accurately. Provide own welding gear. Maintain a safe, clean work area. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: MIG welding TIG welding (preferred) Experience with carbon steel Blueprint reading (for fitter roles) Basic shop math Tape measure reading Ability to work in a physically demanding environment Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform physically demanding work in varying temperatures. Position requires a physical exam with a lift test and a back X-ray. Work Environment: Non-climate-controlled steel fabrication shop — hot in summer, cold in winter. Steel toe boots required.
