Details Works in the Emergency Services department of an acute care hospital setting Mid shift schedule: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM 13-week contract Required to work every other weekend On-call is voluntary Floating may be required as helping hands during low census periods Requirements Active NM RN license or current Compact state license Certifications required: BLS, ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) or ENPC, and TNCC or ATCN CPI or equivalent preferred Minimum 1 year of ED experience required Graduate of an accredited RN program Must be able to handle emergency and crisis situations, perform prolonged standing and walking, and assist with patient positioning and transfers requiring heavy physical effort Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not accepted unless the position explicitly states otherwise US Social Security Number required for consideration 2 professional references required for consideration Active copies of all certifications required for consideration Additional Information Coordinates and implements patient care appropriate to the age and needs of the assigned patient population Ensures care is delivered in a safe, efficient manner consistent with unit standards Communicates effectively with patients, families, and care team members across developmental age groups Works in a smoke-free environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases; subject to stressful and variable working conditions Reports to the Patient Care Director or Manager American Traveler Job ID P-683396.
