Validation Engineer - TEST METHOD (TMV)

Job Title: R&D Test EngineerLocation: Trumbull, CTDuration: Contract to Hire (C2H) We are seeking an R&D Test Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing to support new product development (NPD) testing and verification activities. The ideal candidate will have experience with verification & validation (V&V), Test Method Validation (TMV), MSA, electromechanical testing, fixture design, prototype assembly, laboratory equipment, and technical documentation. Experience with 3D printers, calibration, mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, and medical device product testing is highly preferred.Roles & Responsibilities· Execute verification, pre-verification, and validation testing for new product development (NPD).· Develop, execute, and document test protocols, verification reports, and TMV documentation.· Perform Test Method Validation (TMV) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities.· Design, develop, and coordinate the fabrication of test fixtures for product testing.· Assemble prototypes and electromechanical components according to engineering specifications.· Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including 3D printers, laser cutters, microscopes, and test instruments.· Coordinate equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure compliance with laboratory standards.· Troubleshot mechanical and basic electronic systems, including soldering and repair activities.· Work with equipment vendors for installation, maintenance, and procurement of laboratory equipment.· Support laboratory operations by maintaining tools, consumables, and engineering best practices.· Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and technical specifications.· Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and quality standards.· Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams to support product development and testing activities.Required Background· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.· 3–5 years of experience in electromechanical product assembly, testing, or R&D engineering within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.· Hands-on experience with V&V, TMV, MSA, fixture design, prototype assembly, laboratory testing, and equipment calibration.· Strong understanding of mechanical systems, basic electronics, soldering, and troubleshooting.· Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
