Position’s Contributions to Work Group: Design foundry tooling in Creo software using standards in place and best practices for No-bake molding process with the objective to improve quality and reduce lead time on tooling constructionTypical task breakdown:RFQ tooling, Design New Pattern Tooling, resolve casting issues, Re-gate, Simulate, all other tasks as needed. Interaction with team: Interact with managers on directions and priorities of workflow. Interact with Tool designers and Engineers for tool build, process flow. Interact with Pattern Makers for tool build direction.Work environment: Foundry production setting. Cold in winter, Hot in SummerCommon office computer desk settingShop floor environment.Education & Experience Required: Years of experience: 5 years of relevant experiencesDegree requirement: Associate or Bachelor.Do you accept internships as job experience: No Top 3 Skills: Foundry Engineer Experience. (Tools Quotation, Casting Scrap defects analysis & resolution, Foundry process knowledge, no-bake process, cold box process) Foundry tooling Design Experience. (Pattern and core boxes, Complex modeling, intuitive knowledge of P/L, offsets, clearances, layout in tool build, no-bake process, cold box process) Creo modeling and flow simulation analysis using SolidCastAdditional Technical Skills (Required)Strong CAD skills (Creo prefers).Machining print reading and geometric tolerance understandingCasting simulation experiences (SolidCast prefers)
