Job Title: Design Engineer 4 – Foundry Tooling / Creo Design Engineer Location: Hodges, SC Duration: 12+ Months Contract Work Schedule: Onsite | 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer / Foundry Tooling Engineer to join a leading manufacturing team in Hodges, SC. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in foundry tooling design, Creo modeling, casting processes, and tooling simulations within a manufacturing or foundry environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign foundry tooling using Creo (PTC Creo) following established standards and best practicesSupport No-Bake and Cold Box molding processesDevelop and modify:Pattern toolingCore boxesTool layouts and assembliesPerform:RFQ tooling activitiesCasting defect analysis and resolutionRe-gating activitiesFlow and casting simulationsCollaborate with Tool Designers, Manufacturing Engineers, Pattern Makers, and SuppliersImprove tooling quality, manufacturability, and lead timesReview machining prints and apply GD&T principles during tooling designRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of relevant experience in:Foundry EngineeringFoundry Tooling DesignCasting Process EngineeringStrong hands-on experience with:Creo / PTC CreoCAD ModelingPattern & Core Box DesignCasting Simulation (SolidCast preferred)Strong understanding of:No-Bake and Cold Box ProcessesCasting scrap defect analysisTool build layouts, offsets, and clearancesMachining prints and GD&TPreferred QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related fieldExperience with CNC milling processes is a plusStrong communication and supplier coordination skillsWork EnvironmentCombination of office and foundry/shop floor environmentHands-on collaboration with cross-functional manufacturing teams
