Accounts Payable SupervisorOklahoma City, OKPosition SummaryThe Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor relationships. This role supervises AP staff, enforces internal controls, and supports process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluationsOversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processingEnsure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reportsReview and approve batches of invoices and payment runs (ACH, wire, check)Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirementsManage vendor relationships, including resolving discrepancies and responding to inquiriesMonitor AP aging and ensure liabilities are recorded accurately and timelyAssist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliationsCollaborate with procurement and other departments to streamline workflows and improve efficiencySupport external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and analysisIdentify and implement process improvements, automation, and best practices within the AP functionQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred5+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead roleStrong understanding of accounts payable processes, internal controls, and accounting principlesExperience with ERP/accounting systemsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment$80,000 - $110,000 depending on education and experience.
