Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearJob description:This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role involves accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations while ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and company policies for multiple companies.Key Responsibilities· Handle day-to-day accounting including accounts payable, and accounts receivable. An understanding of job cost accounting is a plus.· Financial Reporting & Closing: Coordinate and manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial statements.· Account Reconciliation: Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.· Internal Controls & Compliance: Develop and maintain internal controls; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.· Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and schedules.· Cash Flow & Disbursements: Monitor bank balances and approve cash disbursements, including checks and wire transfers.· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations and enhance the efficiency of financial procedures.· Payroll Experience: Handle bi-weekly payroll, including all federal and state tax reporting, both monthly and yearly.Required Qualifications· Education: Minimum Associate's degree, preferably a Bachelor’s degree, in Accounting· Experience: 3-5+ years of accounting experience· Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Sage accounting, Word, and Adobe.· Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Required Skills· Team Player: Strong ability to work with the other parts of the property management team, including maintenance.· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various departments.· Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Typical Reporting Structure· Reports To: Office Manager, Board of Directors/OwnersBenefits:401(k) 3% MatchDental insuranceDisability insuranceLife insurancePaid time offWork Location: In person
