Job Title: Product Owner – HRIS Data Platform Integration Duration: Contract (4 Months)Rate: 60-65/hr on W2Work Auth: US Citizen / Green Card HolderLocation: Remote (Occasional travel required )Work Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM ESTJob Summary We are seeking a technically proficient Product Owner to lead initiatives for an enterprise HRIS Data Integration Platform. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into scalable, high-impact solutions.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in API-driven integrations, event streaming, and data pipeline architecture, along with a solid understanding of HRIS systems and data flow.Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate product vision into well-defined, prioritized backlog itemsCollaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment with architecture and technical feasibilityCreate and manage detailed user stories for API integrations, Kafka streaming, and data pipelinesDefine and document data lineage across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layersLead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demosCoordinate cross-team dependencies and ensure alignment across multiple Agile teamsPartner with stakeholders and vendors to support system integrations and onboardingRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field5+ years of experience in Product Ownership or enterprise application integration3+ years of experience in an Agile/Scrum environmentHands-on experience with:Java-based APIsKafka or event-driven architectureData transformation pipelinesStrong understanding of data lineage and data flow conceptsExperience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, or similarFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsAgile certification (CSPO or equivalent)Experience with Fineos platformPrior experience in the Insurance domain (Life / Disability)
