A great candidate will have a strong knowledge of accounting and reporting processes and experience in the consumer goods industry. This is a strategic role that assumes responsibility for accounts payable and supports accounts receivable and deduction management. The individual in this role will provide essential oversight to accounting operations, business performance, variance identification, key monthly and quarterly reporting and controls.What You Will Be Doing:Responsible for AP and will help to support payment application, deduction management, AR collections and regular communication with retail AP departments for invoice resolution.Preparing daily cash, daily forecasting and daily deposits reports and reconciliationsPrepare, reconcile and communicate monthly royalties and commissionsPrepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and close dutiesPrepare monthly variance analysis, communicate and action plan as neededAssist with the budgeting and forecasting processesAssist with the preparation annual financial auditAssist with designing and implementing accounting process improvements, reporting and automationWork with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on ad-hoc requestsAnalyze and present financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)About YouDo you have a passion for consumer goods? United Olive Oil would be honored to have your help.The requirements of the role are:Bachelors in Accounting/Business with 2+ years’ experiencePrefer experience in the manufacturing and/or consumer packaged goods industry. Experience working with major retailers and distributors is a plus.Solid Accounting background, exceptional analytical skills, and adept at identifying trends and variances.High level of professionalism, ability to tell a story with data and communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a positive and influential way.Agility in taking initiative to solve issues, partner and build business processes that simplify and scale.Experience with NetSuite, G-Suite, Microsoft Office required.Strong Excel skills - must be comfortable analyzing, combining and manipulating large data sets.Strong communication skills; ability to interact with and present financial results with attention to detail.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced, rapid growth start-up environment.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with high focus on teamwork, growth mindset and process improvement.Deliver high quality work with integrityOffice presence full time, location financial District, NYMust have work authorization in the United States Salary: ($70,000–$100,000 based on experience) and benefits package.
