Join us.The Setup Technician II is responsible for supporting all aspects of the injection molding process, including mold setup, equipment operation, and workflow coordination for both production and sample molds. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical knowledge, and a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform mold setup and tear-down for production and sample moldsInstall, remove, and replace waterlines; perform routine water filter cleaningConduct proper line clearance, moisture analysis, and tolerance monitoringSet up hot runner systems, picker/end-of-arm tooling, and trimmer/chop diesMaintain press cleanliness, including platen cleaning, preventive maintenance (PM), and housekeeping before, during, and after tasksHandle work orders, raw materials, and perform basic mold lubrication (leader pins, side locks)Perform ice blasting as requiredExecute press start-up, restart, and shutdown proceduresApply sound judgment and critical thinking to support efficient operations and resolve issuesEnsure compliance with company policies and industry standards to maintain a safe and productive environmentTrain and support new or less experienced techniciansPerform additional duties as assignedSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis role does not have direct supervisory responsibilitiesMay provide work direction, guidance, and on-the-job training to othersQualificationsTo perform this role successfully, individuals must be able to carry out each essential function effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be made as needed.Education & ExperienceMinimum of three (3) years of related experience in injection mold setup and removalHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsTechnical Skills & KnowledgeWorking knowledge of injection molding machines, processes, and industry terminologyAbility to read and interpret blueprintsFamiliarity with general manufacturing practices and workflowsExperience with basic hand tools and precision measuring instrumentsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelPhysical DemandsThe physical demands listed are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
