Position summary: The Kyle QA Laboratory Technician is responsible for daily production testing and Quality Assurance functions related to finishing processes at the Kyle 1 and Kyle 2 manufacturing facilities. Educational requirements: High School diploma or GED equivalent required Skills and experience: Three or more years manufacturing or testing lab experience preferred. Working knowledge of: AS/400, MESr, and the general understanding of PC operating environment. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel Must have normal color perception and average or above average color discernment. Must be able to maintain an active workload with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail: (Analytical skills, Observational skills, and Active listening skills) General understanding of ISO requirements of job Ability to conduct intensive testing requiring multiple steps and accurate record keeping. Working knowledge of Quality Assurance test procedures of Kyle QA Lab, and a strong understanding of Kyle , Kyle II and RCA processes a plus Essential duties: Complete product testing using an Instron, APA, calipers, environmental chamber, thickness gauge, balance, tape measures, ruler, and additional lab equipment as prescribed. Accurately document and timely complete of Kyle QA Lab production testing functions Communicate quality concerns to proper Manufacturing and Quality Management Complete Fabric Adoption, Custom and Re-mastering duties Maintain accurate record keeping and record archiving Maintain Kyle QA Lab and general facility housekeeping standards Complete Special Requests from internal and external sources as required Assist in covering interdepartmental vacation and absences as needed, will require overtime Be knowledgeable of MSDS of chemicals and mixtures handled in the lab Maintain carpet master cabinets, retain storage and master retain storage areas Perform QA audits on Tufting Processes at Kyle II Comply with all departmental and plant wide safety rules Comply with all applicable environmental regulations Comply with all departmental and plant wide ISO requirements—9001 and 14001 Understand and support Interface commitment to sustainability. Perform other duties as assigned Physical demands: Lifting up to lift 50lbs Wearing PPE as required Work environment: Climate controlled laboratory Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment as needed #LI-AS1 #On-Site We are a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
