We are looking for an individual with a strong teaching background and a deep passion for holistic student development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent instructional skills, the capacity to engage students effectively, and a strong commitment to nurturing students' personal growth and life skills. While we value expertise in STEAM subjects, we particularly emphasize the ability to foster students' self-confidence, critical thinking, and social-emotional development within a collaborative learning environment.If you are a motivated and proactive educator who is passionate about supporting students as they discover their unique potential and develop essential life skills, we encourage you to apply and become a valuable member of our teaching team.What You'll DoImplement a holistic educational approach that balances STEAM content with personal growth opportunities, helping students in grades TK-5 develop self-awareness, confidence, and essential interpersonal skillsCreate a supportive classroom environment that promotes inquiry-based learning, emotional intelligence, and social skills development, encouraging students to take intellectual risks through collaborative projects that build resilience and self-efficacyEstablish and maintain strong communication with families regarding student personal growth and academic progress, while planning and coordinating events where students can showcase not only their academic learning but also their personal development accomplishmentsOur Ideal Candidate Will HaveAt least 3 years of teaching experience (5+ preferred), with a demonstrated record of exceptional academic outcomes Proven capability in developing effective unit plans and lesson plansProficiency in using educational technology and tools, including Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Docs, and Forms) to enhance teaching and learning experiencesPhysical capacity to stand for extended periods and handle teaching materials as needed for an interactive and dynamic classroom environment.It's a Bonus If You HaveA California teaching credential or out of state equivalentExperience working with STEAM platforms and kits (grades TK-5)Demonstrated ability to self-teach technical conceptsDemonstrated experience in facilitating student-led classrooms and implementing liberatory educational pedagogyPay ScaleStarting salary range $73,000 - $76,000Medical, Dental, Vision, Chiropractic/Acupuncture, and Life Insurance Insurance (100% covered by the org)$1,000 learning stipend$250 Monthly Housing Stipend$150 Wellness Stipend
