PEM-Quality Management Analyst
Job Summary
The Quality Management Analyst (QMA) for the Behavioral Health programs will lead the quality improvement process through the analysis and support in creating and implementing corrective actions and improvement plans with program leadership. The QMA will assist in creating a system to help in collecting, coding, imputing, verifying, and monitoring data. The role of the QMA is to ensure that programs are meeting compliance standards, that specified goals and outcomes are met, and performance quality is maintained.
Additionally, the QMA serves as a liaison to NYS Office of Mental Health and will advocate on agency behalf as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Perform monthly case record reviews and billing audits.
Make recommendations on whether programs need to be on an internal performance improvement plan (PIP).
Develop and update instruments used to measure programmatic goals and outcomes.
Ensure timely submission of Corrective Action Plans, internally and to external monitoring agencies.
Process and input data as needed through various internal and external data collection and reporting systems.
Assist departments in reporting and determining outcomes through the monthly Quality Improvement Compliance Meeting.
Assist and guide programs with creating protocols and procedures.
Collaboration with external monitoring and accreditation agencies
Other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
BA/BS required in Social Work or related human services, Master’s preferred.
Strong knowledge of OMH 599 regulations.
Conduct announced and unannounced facility inspections.
Must have ability to analyze and manipulate data.
Demonstrated ability to identify trends and conduct root-cause analyses.
Ability to provide constructive feedback with a focus on quality improvement.
Must have strong working knowledge of computer applications, preferably highly skilled with Excel.
Must have commitment to enhancing the level of service delivery provided to persons served.
Ability to work independently and complete tasks within allotted time.
Strong problem solving skills.
Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills.
Good verbal /written communication skills.
Familiarity with NYS Office of Mental Health, The Standards of Care Anchor Elements, and Quality Assurance Reporting Requirements.
