Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position at a Magnet, teaching, Level III Trauma acute care hospital in Minnesota, requiring a minimum of 2 years ICU or 3 years ED experience and high-acuity PACU proficiency. Details Short-term acute care hospital setting with 672 staffed beds, designated as Magnet, Teaching, and Level III Trauma PACU unit with a 1:2 patient ratio High-acuity patient population including ortho, spine, neuro, general, and oncology surgical cases Specialized equipment includes vents, arterial lines, PCAs, IV pumps, cardiac monitors, Lifepak monitors, epidurals, and Zoom carts Charting is performed in Epic/Excellian Shifts are 12-hour days with start times of 0800, 0900, or 1100 (mix of 3x12 and 2x12 weekly schedules) No weekend requirements and no on-call responsibilities Floating required within scope to Pre-op, PACU Phase II, and Helping Hands within the hospital Requirements Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted) Current certifications: BLS and ACLS Minimum 2 years of ICU experience or 3 years of ED experience required High-acuity PACU experience required PACU proficiency with ortho, spine, neuro, general, and oncology patients required Experience with vents, arterial lines, PCAs, IV pumps, cardiac monitors, Lifepak monitors, and epidurals required Epic/Excellian EMR experience required MN fingerprints required as a compliance item prior to starting onsite Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible 1 supervisor reference required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been gone for at least 3 months from their last shift worked Pre-start modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins RTO is ideally no more than 5 days for the contract period Navy scrubs are preferred; facility-provided scrubs are available Parking is available at a flat rate of $0.55/hour American Traveler Job ID P-687368.
