Quality Plant Manager
The Plant Quality Manager (PQM) will have responsibility for a team of quality and product engineers as well as the quality assurance supervisors responsible for all quality systems and aspects of quality control and quality assurance at the Detroit Assembly Complex - MackAdditional Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited ToOverseeing crew operation and providing leadership for quality system implementation and executionAchieving plant and corporate quality targets and key performance indicatorAuditing process and product standards for conformanceProviding problem solving expertise and leading through excellent problem-solving capabilitiesPlanning, prioritizing, setting goals, and managing multiple projects in a technical and business environmentEstablishing partnerships both internally and externally and influencing without direct authorityBenchmarking and executing world class manufacturing for Quality organizations and systemsRepresenting the "Voice of the Customer" to platform teamsDriving team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing political hurdlesDemonstrating unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievementsExhibiting a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver resultsRequirementsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering OR other bachelor's degree in combination with relevant experience may be considered8+ years of quality, manufacturing, and or design/release related experienceSupervisory experience leading people and larger teams/departmentsExceptional communication skills with the ability to build solid partnerships, both internally and externallyCapable of shaping a clear strategic vision and effectively communicating that visionExpertise in planning, prioritizing, and goal setting including the ability to manage multiple projects, determining project urgency, creating detailed action plans, and organizing schedules, people, and tasksExperience working in a lean/flat organization with cross-functional skillsStrong organizational skills with an ability to quickly filter and prioritize action itemsDisplay effective communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadershipCommitment and dedication in delivering a premier product to the consumerStrong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environmentProven track record for developing and leading people, executing standardization of manufacturing quality systems, and achieving quality goals and key performance indicatorsAbility to lead and present the QCS PillarAbility to work weekends if requiredOur Benefits — Designed With You In MindComprehensive Health & Well-being CoverageFrom your very first day, you’ll have access to medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage — ensuring you and your family stay healthy and protected.
