Art Director (Marketing Agency)

With cutting-edge technology systems and platforms, Elevation delivers sustainable, end-to-end marketing solutions that consistently deliver measurable results for brands.We’re seeking a Art Director with a strong background in agency and B2B environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in visual design, branding, creative concepting, and digital design execution. This role requires a versatile designer & art director capable of producing high-impact creative across a wide range of formats, including branding systems, digital campaigns, websites, social media, presentations, print and sales collateral.The successful candidate will craft visually compelling designs for both overarching brand initiatives and specific product communications. They will also engage directly with stakeholders—at leading billion-dollar brands, contributing to strategic discussions and helping shape creative direction at the highest level. Due to the highly collaborative nature of agency work, this job is not remote and is based in our beautiful Gilbert office (Phoenix Area). More on that below.Responsibilities:Design + Art Direct and produce high-quality creative assets across multiple channels, including digital, print, social media, advertising, web, print and mobile platforms.Develop and maintain brand identity systems, ensuring consistency across all touch points.Lead design strategy initiatives for select B2B clients, aligning creative execution with business objectives and audience insights.Create compelling visual solutions for clients across diverse industries, including technology, manufacturing, agriculture, and industrial sectors.Collaborate closely with copywriters, strategists, and developers to deliver cohesive, integrated campaigns.Present creative concepts and design idea & recommendations to senior stakeholders, and teams.Adhere to industry best practices and client-specific brand guidelines to ensure quality and consistency.Follow client brand guidelines and design best practices to ensure seamless execution.Maintain and evolve visual standards, ensuring brand voice and tone are reflected in design.Generate innovative design ideas that support overarching campaign concepts and brand strategiesRequired Skills:Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams and senior-level stakeholders at Fortune 500 companies to develop compelling visual solutions.Skilled in establishing and maintaining creative direction, with flexibility to adapt and negotiate changes as needed.Expertise in translating complex or technical concepts into clear, visually engaging designs.Experience partnering with leadership to define and shape distinctive brand aesthetics.Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple strategic and tactical projects simultaneously..Conceptual thinker capable of guiding idea generation in partnership with senior leadership, across both brand and product initiatives.Solid understanding of digital technologies and their application in enhancing creative concepts.Strategic mindset with the ability to independently develop and execute innovative ideas.Exceptional design skills with a focus on clarity, coherence, and impact across product, brand, and campaign deliverables.Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools.Self-motivated, disciplined, and committed to continuous improvement. Collaborative team player with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external clients.Passionate about creative work and open to constructive feedback and direction.Capable of managing a high-volume workload efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.Excellence in writing and presenting your creative to internal teams as well as clients.Qualifications:Minimum of 7 years of professional design & art director experience.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline.Demonstrated expertise in developing B2B creative and branding systems.Strong portfolio showcasing relevant design work across various formats and industries.Agency experience required.Solid understanding of current technologies, including responsive design, digital platforms, and emerging AI tools for design.Experience with leveraging AI tools for creative needs when appropriate.About Our ValuesOver time, we find that employees who live out our values enjoy their experience and stay and prosper over a long period of time at Elevation. We were meant to work together, not alone! All our roles are full-time on-site roles, with two work-from-home days a month or four half days a month and we are flexible when it comes to “life emergencies” that require additional flexibility from time to time. We are closed between Christmas and New Year’s. We do offer flexible hours based on client demands and department structure and typically that means an employee may be able to start at any time between 7 AM and 9 AM and finish between 4 PM and 6 PM.Compensation and BenefitsElevation strives to provide some of the best agency compensation and benefit packages in the great southwest. Salary range for this job is projected to be between $75,000 and $90,000+ depending on role (jr. art director vs. art director) vs. sr. art director) and experience in an agency setting plus quality of portfolio. The job is in Gilbert, AZ (just off Loop 202 expressway) and less than one mile from over 50 restaurants. Elevation pays for 95% of employee’s life, health, and long-term disability insurance. The salary range for this position will vary depending on experience and skills outlined above.
