Material Supervisor
SummaryManages all aspects of material flow within the facility. Provides leadership and guidance to Material Handling and inventory control functions of the business. Ensures accurate inventory levels and transactions throughout the facility. Leads the team with continuous improvement to provide consistent on-time delivery of products/processes.Key ResponsibilitiesOrganize, develop, train, and lead the Materials operations to deliver The Right Material, to The Right Place, at The Right Time.Eliminate loss of production down time due to internal material flow.Manage all aspects of material flow to maintain control and accuracy over all inventories – Including Transactions (Oracle), Fab & Weld Warehouse, and Steel Receiving.Lead accurate and timely cycle counts and root cause processes and proceduresSupport creation of materials performance goals and KPIs to provide sufficient inventory to feed production demand and drive continuous improvement.Define process improvements to optimize the materials organizationOptimize floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment.Collaborate with Operations & Engineering to optimize product flow.Collaborate with Planning & Operations teams to manage pallet holdings to optimize storage.Drive and Lead Safety & 5S Process to ensure goals are met.Key Skills And CompetenciesStrong communication skillsStrong leadership skillsStrong organization skillsEducation And Experience RequirementsExperience in materials position preferredLeadership ExperienceWorking Conditions/OtherDay Shift Monday-FridayLess than 5% TravelManufacturing environmentMaintains up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law, compliance, trends, new technologies and best practices in areas of responsibilities.This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and competencies required of this position.
