CGP: Senior Tax Analyst/GL Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Tax GL Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $43.00 to $53.00 per hour. Job Responsibilities:Prepare and review monthly sales & use tax and excise tax returnsAnalyze and reconcile tax accounts on a monthly and annual basisMaintain tax registrations, certifications, and licenses across jurisdictionsPerform internal audits and ensure documentation of exemption certificates and permitsCoordinate with external auditors and internal teams to manage tax audits and compliance Requirements: Review contracts and confirmations to assess direct and indirect tax implicationsAnalyze tax issues, prepare write-ups, and ensure timely complianceDraft letters to tax jurisdictions to request guidance or resolve issuesMonitor tax law changes and communicate updates to relevant teamsSupport accounting operations including month-end close, GL reconciliation, and audit preparation Qualifications: Hold a degree in Accounting and have at least 5+ years of sales and use tax experience3+ years of financial accounting experience and general accounting knowledgeShow intermediate proficiency in Excel and strong attention to detailPreferably hold a CPA license or be working toward certificationExhibit the ability to travel occasionally and manage special ad-hoc projects as neededREF#51547#LI-DD1
