Roles & Responsibilities Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for adult and pediatric patients on a MedSurg/Peds unit Apply and manage telemetry leads and collaborate with monitor techs for accurate cardiac monitoring Troubleshoot BiPAP and work with respiratory therapy for advanced respiratory needs Perform safe medication administration and manage electrolyte/IV drips per unit policy Serve collaboratively with charge nurses and take assignments when needed Float to ED/ICU for 1:1 care as required, demonstrating adaptability and clinical focus Document patient care accurately in MEDITECH and communicate concerns with the care team Adhere to facility fit testing requirements and infection control policies Qualifications Active RN license (required) BLS and PALS certifications (required) Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience Experience with MedSurg and Pediatrics patient populations Comfortable using MEDITECH for documentation and charting Willingness to pass required fit testing; facial hair may require removal per facility policy Ability to float to ED/ICU and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Not currently full-time/part-time/PRN with any CommonSpirit facility (CHI/Dignity) and within 50 mile radius rule compliance Education Active RN license required BSN not required Knowledge & Skills Strong MedSurg and pediatric nursing knowledge Telemetry application and monitoring skills Electrolyte and IV drip management understanding Experience troubleshooting BiPAP and collaborating with RT Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills Ability to prioritize patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately Charge nurse experience or comfort taking assignments is a plus Self-scheduling and time-management capabilities Benefits Guaranteed 36 hours per week to help you plan your life outside of work Supportive team environment where communication and collaboration are valued 12-hour orientation shift to set you up for success from day one Licensure and certification support to keep your credentials current Flexible self-scheduling so you can balance work and personal time Opportunities to float to ED/ICU for skills growth and variety Navy blue scrubs provided so you can skip the laundry panic A workplace that values your curiosity, questions, and professional growth Travel Perks: Explore Dickinson, ND Explore the rugged beauty of western North Dakota on your off days.
