This role focuses on estimating and coordinating small-scale HVAC projects, with an emphasis on split systems and rooftop unit (RTU) replacements, while assisting with equipment procurement and job readiness activities.The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be comfortable preparing estimates, performing equipment and material takeoffs, and supporting project coordination efforts. Responsibilities include conducting site visits as needed to verify existing conditions and take field measurements, assisting with ordering HVAC equipment and materials, and coordinating material staging with the warehouse team to ensure projects are installation ready. This position also supports project handoff to installation teams and requires ongoing communication with vendors, project managers, and field personnel.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments are essential. This role is well suited for someone looking to grow their estimating and project coordination experience within a fast-paced HVAC environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare estimates for small HVAC projects, including split systems and RTU replacementsPerform equipment and material takeoffsEnsure all work meets local plumbing codes, OSHA standards, and safety regulations.Coordinate material staging and job readiness with the warehouse team.Support project handoff to installation teamsCommunicate with vendors, project managers, and field personnelAbility to climb ladders, work at heights, and navigate uneven surfaces in a construction or job-site environmentEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Basic knowledge of HVAC systems or construction processesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple small projectsHVAC field experience or estimating experience preferredVocational or technical training a plusREQUIRED SKILLS:Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, warehouse staff and field personnelExcellent time management and organizational abilities to manage multiple small projects and shifting prioritiesHigh level of attention to detail to ensure accurate estimates, takeoffs and job readinessAdaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and independentValid Driver's LicenseWORK ENVIRONMENT:This position is based primarily in a professional office setting at the CSE office, supporting HVAC construction and replacement projects. The role involves frequent collaboration with project managers, warehouse personnel, vendors, and field teams. Standard office equipment-including computers, phones, and estimating software-is used daily. Occasional visits to job sites or warehouse areas may be required.
