Engineering Lead

Position: Engineering LeadLocation: Valley Green, PAAmphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, highbandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks,Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. Our global headquarters is located in Nashua, NH and we have design,sales, and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking anEngineering Lead to join our team in Valley Green, PA.High speed cable backplane systems enable most of the world's IT and datacom;including leading the way for the AI/ML revolution; and require some of the mostadvanced manufacturing technologies, and highest levels of precision, in theengineering world. These challenges require the most creative, technical minds,and ultimately provide the most rewarding experience for an engineer.Responsibilities:Lead and manage projects, resources, and engineering communication duringthe design, development, and testing of components, hardware, and mechanicalsystems for custom cable connections to high density PCBAs.Oversee project timelines, ensuring that milestones and deliverables are meton schedule; communicating across internal business units and externalstakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including signal integrityengineering, product management, and manufacturing, to ensure cohesive productdevelopment.Develop and implement engineering development processes and best practicesto enhance efficiency and quality.Manage resource allocation and budgeting for hardware development projects.Ability to take on full programs as a development engineer until a new teamis onboarded; provide technical guidance and mentorship as needed, fostering aculture of continuous improvement and innovation.Direct the growth plan for the team, including scaling resources to supportbusiness growth, taking an active part in the interview and recruitment process,and the onboarding/training of new hires.Conduct performance reviews and support the professional growth of teammembers.Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to driveinnovation within the team.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, Master'sdegree or MBA a plusPast experience / competency in computer aided engineering analysis a plusExperience in hardware development, including precision components and/orsheet metal. Electrical connectors and cable harnessing experience a plus.3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within amechanical development team, ideally within the hardware space.Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multipleprojects simultaneously.Proficiency with parametric CAD tools (Creo / SolidWorks).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to workeffectively with diverse teams.
