Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager

ResponsibilitiesEngineering Consulting Services (ECS) is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Assistant Staff Project Manager to join our team. This role performs specific field tasks assigned per project by more senior staff. Your growth in responsibility will come with time and experience. This work will be field based with limited office work as experience is gained. An ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.AsKey ResponsibilitiesInteract and collaborate with staff members on a variety of projectsAttend project meetings with senior staff as requestedInterface with contractors and other site personnel on project sites dailyKeep supervisor informed of changing site conditions and/or additional testing requested on project sites.Scheduling, training and oversight of environmental technicians.Initiate project set up and implementation under the direct supervision of senior staffGood understanding of sample collection, preparation, preservation sample hold times and laboratory submission regulations and guidelines.Basic knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations and guidelines and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies.Clearly document site observations for field work performed and submit daily reportsCommunicate changing site conditions to supervisor and discuss their implications on field investigations. Implement investigation changes in the field as directed by your supervisorWork with senior staff to develop an understanding of the relation of field observations and sample results to findings and conclusions in the reportAssist on Groundwater and soil investigations and media sampling.Perform boring and test pit layouts and evaluate site access with senior oversightAssist with remediation system installation, operation, and maintenance.Assist with underground storage tank assessments.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental ConsultingNo experience neededIf driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is requiredSkills and AbilitiesBasic knowledge of environmental principles and applications.Basic knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methodsInterest in project management, consulting, and business development.Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds a number of times each day and walk on uneven ground through various terrains.Military QualificationsThe following US Military ranks will qualify for this position IF they also meet the education requirements from the above section titled "Required Qualifications":E-5About UsECS Group of Companies (ECS) was founded in 1988 with the goal to raise the standards of professional engineering consulting.
