We are seeking a Senior Construction Manager - Aviation with electrical experience, to support delivery of complex aviation capital improvement projects for our Southern California clients.Serving as an Owner's Representative, you will manage construction activities from execution through commissioning and turnover, overseeing scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and operational coordination. You will integrate electrical infrastructure, including substations, power distribution, airfield lighting, and terminal systems, within active airport environments while coordinating with airport operations, utilities, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies. Your leadership will ensure compliance with FAA, NEC, NFPA, regional and client standards while minimizing impacts to airport operations.This is a fulltime, onsite position at Santa Ana, CA. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with occasional night or weekend work required to support critical construction or utility shutdowns.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee on‐site construction activities for aviation projects, including electrical and utility infrastructure.Apply construction management expertise to support safe, efficient construction and commissioning.Ensure compliance with approved work plans, phasing plans, shutdown requests, and operational constraints.Verify work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.Coordinate construction activities with contractors, designers, utilities, airport operations, and stakeholders.Monitor budgets, cost forecasts, staffing, and resource allocation to meet schedule and budget objectives.Identify risks and implement corrective actions to maintain critical milestones.Enforce safety, quality, labor compliance, DBE/SBE, and regulatory requirements.Review change order requests and claims and support resolution negotiations.Support testing, commissioning, system validation, and turnover to operations.Prepare progress reports for our clients, County leadership, and program management.Bring your curiosity, collaborative mindset, and ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment. At Jacobs, we'll support your growth and help you make an impact on the communities we serve.Here's what you'll need15+ years of aviation construction management experience.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related experience in lieu of education requirements.Experience delivering projects exceeding $500M in value.Strong background in electrical power distribution, substations, or utility upgrades.Experience with CMAR, Design‐Bid‐Build, and Design‐Build delivery methods.Proven experience serving in a senior management and Owner's Representative role.Strong communication skills and knowledge of aviation construction practices and regulations.Ability to collaborate effectively with airport authorities, airlines, TSA, FAA, utilities, and public agencies.Ideally, you'll also have:* Master's degree* Professional certifications such as AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, or similar#WestPMCM#LI-CS1Posted Salary Range: Minimum146,700.00Posted Salary Range: Upper270,000.00Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
