STS Technical Services is now hiring experienced 2nd Shift Painters to support industrial production operations in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. This position is ideal for professionals with powder coating experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to equipment safety and paint quality.Position Overview As a 2nd Shift Painter, you will be responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining powder painting equipment to achieve proper paint coverage. You'll also perform manual paint application, part prep, equipment maintenance, and quality inspections. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality and overall paintline efficiency.Key Responsibilities Adjust powder paint equipment for optimal performance (air flow, powder flow, KV settings)Troubleshoot equipment during runs to ensure painting specs are metClean and maintain powder paint and washer equipment (sieves, hoses, transfer blocks, guns, nozzles, filters)Perform visual inspections throughout the paint processMaintain titration and chemical balance logsConduct shot blast media removal and touch-upSafely load paint powder containers and connect to spray boothsOperate pneumatic tools and bridge cranes to prep and position componentsSupport cross-training initiatives and assist other departments as neededMaintain a clean and safe work environment Essential Functions Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting powder drums, connecting spray equipment, and hanging componentsPerform minor maintenance on spray equipmentUse manual spray guns, vacuums, compressed air, and blasting wandsConduct inspections to ensure complete and consistent paint coverageAdhere to all PPE and safety standards, including eye, hearing, foot protection, and respirators as needed Qualifications Proficient in English with the ability to read and follow work instructionsBasic math skills and demonstrated manual dexterityStrong understanding of powder coating equipment and proceduresAbility to work in a physically demanding environmentMust complete a medical questionnaire and wear all required PPEProven competence in powder coating and manual painting techniquesAbout STS Technical ServicesSTS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm that partners with industry-leading clients in manufacturing, aviation, defense, and industrial sectors.
