Part Time Security Specialist

At NASCAR, you will find a community of passionate individuals who care about our sport and are united in seeing it grow.NASCAR seeks a professional to join our team as a Part-Time Security Specialist.This role supports the Corporate Security team by helping ensure NASCAR-sanctioned facilities meet established security standards. The Part-Time Security Specialist assists with facility assessments, event-day security operations, and coordination with internal teams and external agencies. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe environment for guests, employees, and stakeholders during race events.Duties include but are not limited to:Support security operations at NASCAR-sanctioned events, including on-site presence and coordinationAssist with executive protection and special assignments as neededRespond to and document incidents, preparing clear written reportsConduct assessments of sanctioned facilities against NASCAR security standardsAssist in maintaining and improving security procedures and protocolsSupport the protection of corporate assets and sensitive informationServe as a liaison with local law enforcement and public safety agencies during eventsCommunicate security-related information to internal teams and partnersMaintain awareness of emerging security practices and technologiesRequired skills / experience:Prior law enforcement experience (current or retired) requiredAbility to meet Federal HR 218 requirementsAbility to maintain required certifications (firearms, medical, licensing)Valid driver’s licenseStrong judgment and ability to respond effectively in dynamic environmentsClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamComfortable working outdoors and in event-based environmentsWillingness to travel frequently and work weekends/holidays aligned with the race scheduleWhy This Role?This is an opportunity to stay engaged in the field while supporting high-profile events in a dynamic environment.
