Program Director, Enterprise Transformation
The Program Director within Code and Theory's Enterprise Transformation practice is responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of client engagements and solutions and for overseeing program execution while partnering closely with strategy, creative, technology, and commercial leaders. They will coach and mentor a matrixed team of program/project managers and producers.A great Program Director is both strategic and hands-on who can establish best practices, optimize workflows, build scalable processes, and maintain a clear pulse on program health across multiple workstreams. They're a strong leader who empowers delivery teams at every level, fosters cross-discipline collaboration, and creates the operational clarity required to deliver high-quality outcomes consistently. Ultimately, they balance ambition with fiscal responsibility, ensuring Code and Theory ships high-quality work efficiently and profitably, while supporting growth through scalable delivery practices.WHAT YOU'LL DOOwn end-to-end program delivery across enterprise transformation initiatives, building agility, rigor, and precision into executionPartner with cross-functional leads to translate strategic concepts into structured, repeatable delivery approaches (clear inputs/outputs, delivery methodology, governance), while keeping room for evolutionManage multiple concurrent timelines and complex dependencies across disciplines, workstreams, and stakeholders, driving crisp plans, decision points, and escalation pathsOwn day-to-day stakeholder alignment and expectation management: even when paired with a client engagement lead, you will directly manage delivery expectations, tradeoffs, and timeline realities with client and partner stakeholdersEstablish operating rhythms and governance across workstreams: intake, prioritization, approval paths, milestone plans, dependency management, and release readinessDrive transparency and accountability through executive-ready reporting (progress, burn vs. budget, forecast, risks, gaps, blockers) and action-oriented remediation plansOwn scoping and financial performance: estimation, resourcing plans, burn management, forecasting, and change management to protect outcomes and marginsPartner with go-to-market and commercial stakeholders to ensure delivery is aligned to broader business and growth objectivesCollaborate with enterprise technology stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical for real-world adoption within complex client ecosystemsLead and develop a matrixed team of PMs/producers, providing coaching, prioritization support, escalation management, and coverage planningCollaborate with technical/platform stakeholders; familiarity with major enterprise platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce, or similar) is a strong plusWHAT YOU'LL NEED10+ years of program/project delivery leadership experience in a creative/digital agency, consultancy, or professional services environmentA proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional programs across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and qualityDemonstrated strength managing multiple workstreams with significant dependencies, with the ability to maintain momentum, resolve constraints, and keep stakeholders alignedStrong client management and communication skills: ability to set expectations, negotiate tradeoffs, and calmly lead through ambiguity while protecting delivery outcomesExperience operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where offerings are evolving and delivery must be structured without being rigidExperience with enterprise technology and digital experience platforms (e.g., CMS/DXP, marketing workflow tools, content supply chain, analytics/measurement); familiarity with major enterprise ecosystems is a plusIndustry exposure across enterprise, high-tech, and/or regulated environments is a plusStrong business and financial acumen, including scoping/estimation, forecasting, and managing burn vs. budgetExceptional interpersonal skills, including executive communication, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholdersComfort partnering with technical and product/platform leaders; ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable delivery plansA leadership style rooted in ownership, humility, and mentorship, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvementABOUT USBorn in 2001, Code and Theory is a digital-first creative agency that sits at the center of creativity and technology. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
