Electrical Assembler I - Project BasedThis is a project-based employee role supporting the initial development phase of our autonomous vehicle platforms. Development phases of this nature typically span up to project completion (typically 24 years), though scope and duration are driven by business needs.The Electrical Assembler I supports the fabrication of wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies used in ASI's autonomous vehicle platforms. This role focuses on learning the core tools, processes, and standards required to assemble electrical harnesses used in prototype and development vehicle systems.As a Level I assembler, this role develops foundational skills in harness assembly including crimping, soldering, and interpreting electrical schematics. The position works under supervision while building basic harness assemblies and learning best practices for electrical assembly and quality standards.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Assemble basic wiring harnesses and electrical cable assembliesPerform crimping, wire preparation, and connector installation using approved toolsPerform soldering tasks including solder cups and simple splicesAssist with harness routing and installation on development platformsFollow wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructionsPerform basic continuity checks and visual inspections on harness buildsMaintain organized workspaces and proper tool usageSupport electrical assembly activities for prototype vehicle buildsLearn industry standards related to harness assembly and quality processesEssential education, work experience, and job skills include:02 years of experience in electrical assembly, electronics manufacturing, or related technical workBasic understanding of hand tools and assembly processesAbility to follow technical documentation and instructionsStrong attention to detail and quality workmanshipWillingness to learn electrical assembly techniques including crimping and solderingAbility to work in a team-based production environmentPreferred qualifications include:Training in electronics assembly or related technical fieldFamiliarity with wiring diagrams or electrical schematicsExposure to soldering or electronics repairASI offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:401k with employer matchGenerous HSA contributionPTO, Paid Holidays, and FlextimeASI covers 90% of employee medical plan costsEEO STATEMENTAt Autonomous Solutions, Inc.
