Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Job DescriptionCardinal Staffing is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at a Union Based Facility in Warren Michigan. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment and a proactive approach to equipment reliability and safety. *This is NOT Building Maintenance**Candidates MUST have their own tools* Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician Include:Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and related equipmentTroubleshoot electrical systems including three-phase motors, start/stop circuits, AC/DC drives, and electrical conduit installationPerform Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshootingObserve mechanical devices in operation and diagnose malfunctionsDismantle equipment to access and remove defective partsMake approved modifications to machinery and equipment to meet production needsRepair or replace defective parts; lubricate and clean componentsStart and test devices to verify proper performance after repairsMaintain, install, and repair electrical equipmentKeep accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records; ensure all revisions to equipment and tools are properly documentedMaintain 5S standards in the shop and work areasDemonstrate strong problem-solving skillsCommunicate effectively (verbal, listening, and written)Exercise the authority and responsibility to stop the production line if a safety or quality issue arisesLift and/or carry up to 50 lbs as required Required Qualifications for the Mechanical Maintenance Technician: Minimum 3-5 years maintenance experienceSkilled manufacturing maintenance experience requiredExperience in maintenance support of a large production facility preferredStrong electrical and mechanical aptitude Available shifts: 2nd shift and 3rd shift: currently working 6 days, 12 hours.Must have flexibility with schedule.Must be available on Sundays if needed.$30.00 per hour,based on experience.
