MDS Director (Registered Nurse)

Cobble Hill Health Center is seeking an experienced RN Director of MDS to lead and oversee all aspects of the MDS process in our well-established, not-for-profit long-term care facility.This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate assessments, regulatory compliance, and optimal reimbursement outcomes.ResponsibilitiesOversee all MDS assessments and submissionsMonitor and improve Case Mix Index (CMI)Perform PDPM reviews on admission and prior to submissionEnsure accurate MDS coding and documentationCollaborate with rehab and interdisciplinary teamsReview UB04s and coordinate with billingManage ADR responses, audits, and appealsTrack and present Quality MeasuresRun Medicare Part B reportsParticipate in QAPI, Utilization Review, Therapy, and Medical Board meetingsRequirementsActive RN License - New York3+ years experience as MDS Coordinator or MDS DirectorStrong knowledge of PDPM, Medicare, and MedicaidExperience with CMI optimization and complianceExcellent communication and leadership skillsPreferred:RAC-CT CertificationPrior leadership experienceBenefitsReferral bonusesFree meals during shiftsMedical, dental, vision, life insuranceRetirement plan + employer contribution + 403(b)Employer-paid deductible contribution16 paid holidays + 31 PTO days (including your birthday)Salary: $140000 - $160000 per yearJob Posted by ApplicantPro
