Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound CareLocation: New York, NY 10037 (Onsite)Employment Type: 13-Week ContractSchedule:Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)Hours: ~38 hours/weekSchedule: 4 shifts/week (10-hour shifts)Weekend Requirement: Every other weekendJob Overview:We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care Specialist to provide comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence care in a clinical setting. This role involves patient assessment, care planning, education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments for wound, ostomy, and continence careDevelop and implement individualized patient care plansMonitor and evaluate patient response to treatments and interventionsCollaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teamsProvide education and counseling to patients and familiesLead and support staff education and training programsAssess patients at risk for pressure injuries and implement prevention strategiesParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical studiesAssist in evaluating standards of care, supplies, and equipmentManage specialized equipment such as specialty beds and wound therapy devicesEnsure compliance with patient safety, confidentiality, and regulatory standardsPromote culturally competent care and patient educationRequired Qualifications:Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited programActive New York State RN LicenseCurrent AHA BLS CertificationMinimum 2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experienceExperience in wound care and ostomy/colostomy careRequired Certifications (One of the Following):CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse)CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse)CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse)CWS (Certified Wound Specialist)WCC (Wound Care Certified)Preferred Skills:Patient assessment and care planningStrong patient and staff education capabilitiesExperience with quality improvement initiativesKnowledge of culturally competent care practicesFamiliarity with specialized wound care equipment and asset managementWork Environment:Fully onsite clinical/hospital settingCollaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare teamFocus on patient-centered, evidence-based careFor more details reach atAditi.sharma@navitashealth.comor Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
