Electrical Root Cause & Launch Support EngineerLocation: Toledo, OHDuration: 12 MonthsPay Rate: Up to $22.07/hr.We are seeking an Electrical Root Cause & Launch Support Engineer - Associate to support vehicle assembly plant quality, launch readiness, and issue resolution activities. This role acts as the "Voice of the Customer" within the plant and plays a key part in ensuring product quality, launch stability, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent the "Voice of the Customer" within the assembly plant environmentMonitor and manage external quality KPIs, driving corrective actions and escalationsReview warranty and Customer Quality Insight (CQI) data daily; maintain issue stratification and warranty tracking systemsLead resolution of systemic and chronic quality issues (top warranty, recalls, RSUs, CSNs)Support improvement of vehicle quality metrics (SCA, VLO, BSR, TDF performance targets)Collaborate with plant and corporate teams to meet quality and program deliverablesParticipate in cross-functional timing and launch support activitiesUtilize FMEA and other risk assessment tools to identify and mitigate product and process risksEnsure control plans, PFMEAs, and process documentation are implemented and maintainedSupport defect containment and prevent escape of nonconforming vehiclesAssist with complex quality issues in final assembly and vehicle evaluation areasProtect product design intent while identifying manufacturing constraints and solutionsSupport Product/Process change management and station readiness activitiesExecute yard holds, PRIs, and escalation actions when required to protect customer safety and qualityLead resolution of critical quality and customer safety issuesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related fieldMinimum 1 year of relevant engineering or manufacturing experienceStrong data analysis skills to identify trends, top issues, and corrective action effectivenessProficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace toolsFamiliarity with structured problem-solving methodologies and toolsStrong communication and presentation skills across all organizational levelsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity manufacturing environmentComfortable working on the shop floor and understanding 4M1D (Man, Machine, Method, Material, Design)Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in Engineering or related fieldLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certificationExperience in root cause analysis and complex issue resolutionBackground in vehicle or component manufacturing, product engineering, or Tier 1 automotive environmentsPrior experience in assembly plant quality or manufacturing engineering rolesThis role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in production environments and is passionate about solving complex vehicle quality issues.Click "Apply Now" to be considered.
