A respected law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their Bankruptcy team. This hybrid position offers a salary range of $75,000–$100,000 and presents an exciting opportunity to work directly alongside one of the firm’s partners, playing a key role in supporting complex legal matters and day-to-day case management. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Paralegal who enjoys serving as a trusted partner to senior leadership while making a meaningful impact on the firm’s success.Responsibilities of the Paralegal:Provide direct legal support to a partner, assisting with case preparation, research, and overall case managementDraft and prepare bankruptcy filings, including petitions, schedules, statements of financial affairs, and monthly operating reportsAssist in preparation of first-day motions, disclosure statements, and plan confirmationsCoordinate with clients to collect, organize, and analyze financial and corporate documentationConduct UCC searches and assist with secured creditor documentationProvide general case management and administrative support to ensure legal matters progress efficientlyQualifications of the Paralegal:Experience working as a Bankruptcy Paralegal; ideally 5-10 yearsDemonstrated ability to support senior attorneys or partnersExceptional attention to detail and commitment to document accuracyExcellent organizational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage multiple matters simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with attorneys and clientsAbility to work independently while exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced legal environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management softwareStrong financial document review and organizational skillsp - 8
