This is a unique opportunity to shape cloud architecture at scale within a regulated, purpose-driven environment where your work will have a direct and lasting impact on the communities it serves.POSITION OVERVIEWWe are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of a large-scale Azure cloud platform aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF). This is a senior-level, hands-on leadership role that spans cloud architecture, security, governance, DevOps enablement, and infrastructure modernization. The ideal candidate brings deep Azure expertise, a strong command of enterprise architecture frameworks, and the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in complex, compliance-driven environments.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead enterprise-scale Azure cloud platform design and implementation aligned with Microsoft CAF principlesDesign and govern Azure landing zones, including networking, identity, security, and management layersArchitect and oversee Azure infrastructure components including VMs, App Services, Storage, and Azure SQLEstablish identity and access management strategies using Azure AD, RBAC, and Managed IdentitiesEnforce security and compliance through Azure Policy, Key Vault, encryption standards, and governance frameworksImplement monitoring, logging, and optimization strategies using Azure Monitor and Log AnalyticsDrive DevOps enablement, CI/CD pipeline adoption, and infrastructure-as-code practices (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)Support transition to commercial Azure and/or cloud-agnostic solutions as requiredEnsure platform alignment with judicial and regulatory compliance requirementsProvide documentation, knowledge transfer, and ongoing architectural guidance to internal teamsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related fieldAzure cloud architecture and enterprise platform designMicrosoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) expertiseEnterprise landing zone design and implementationAzure services: VMs, App Services, Storage, Azure SQLIdentity and Access Management (Azure AD, RBAC, Managed Identities)Security and compliance (Azure Policy, Key Vault, encryption)Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, or similar)Monitoring and logging (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline designNetworking design and hybrid/cloud connectivityGovernance frameworks and policy enforcement10+ years of enterprise architecture experience5+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Azure cloud solutions and landing zones5+ years of demonstrated experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (CAF, TOGAF, or equivalent)Proven experience implementing security, compliance, and governance frameworks at scaleExperience with DevOps transformation, automation, and infrastructure-as-code adoptionExperience leading cross-functional architecture initiativesPreferred Experience:Background in large-scale public sector, judicial, or regulated environmentsExperience with performance optimization and cost management (FinOps) in AzurePrior experience establishing enterprise governance models from the ground upFamiliarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planningExperience with cloud-agnostic or multi-cloud strategiesMaster’s degree in a related technical or business fieldAzure Solutions Architect Expert certificationTOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification------------------HireRisingWe're an IT staffing and consulting firm that connects high-caliber technology professionals with innovative organizations across the U.S. and nearshore markets, with new ventures into Finance & Accounting.
