Job Title: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions ArchitectLocation: 100% Remote after onboardingFirst day onsite for equipment pickupLocal candidates only – Phoenix, ArizonaJob Type: Contract 12+ months durationJob SummaryThe Artificial Intelligence (AI) Solutions Architect will work with internal AI product management teams, vendor teams, and development staff to design, develop, enhance, and streamline enterprise AI systems. This role requires strong expertise in AI architecture, Agentic AI, Azure OpenAI, and secure enterprise solution design within public-sector environments.The position operates with minimal supervision and requires independent decision-making within established guidelines.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and implementation of secure, scalable AI and Agentic AI solutions aligned with organizational and public-sector standards.Design end-to-end AI architectures including:Data ingestion pipelinesRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)LLM orchestrationHuman-in-the-loop workflowsProvide technical leadership, architecture documentation, and implementation guidance to internal teams and system integrators.Ensure compliance with security, privacy, accessibility, and governance standards including PII, HIPAA, and CJIS requirements where applicable.Define best practices and reference architectures for responsible and ethical AI usage.Evaluate and integrate AI platforms, cloud services, and vendor solutions.Build architectures supporting explainability, auditability, transparency, and bias mitigation.Collaborate with DevOps, cybersecurity, and data teams to operationalize AI solutions from proof-of-concept through production deployment.Support AI strategy, roadmap planning, and executive-level presentations.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldStrong experience with:Agentic AIAzure OpenAILarge Language Models (LLMs)Machine Learning (ML)Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)Human-in-the-loop AI workflowsHands-on development experience with:.NET (C#, VB.NET)HTMLJavaScriptOCR / IDP / AI automation toolsAbility to design and implement AI-driven solutions from business and technical requirementsExperience creating:Technical specificationsSolution designsArchitecture documentationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to analyze existing codebases and understand implementation logicExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environmentsPreferred SkillsAzure DevOpsGit and CI/CD pipelinesREST & SOAP API integrationsMS Office and Google WorkspaceOnBase Unity ClientAgile methodologies:ScrumKanbanSAFeLean principlesSDLC and ITIL process knowledgeExperience mentoring developers and promoting engineering best practices
