Staff Software Engineer

About the roleWe’re hiring a Staff Software Engineer to help build the next generation of AI-native software for complex operational environments. This is not a role where you’ll be handed a spec and asked to implement it. You’ll help define ambiguous problems, design scalable systems, and own outcomes from idea through production.You’ll join a small, high-caliber engineering team with broad ownership, fast iteration cycles, and direct visibility into company-level impact. The environment rewards engineers who can operate independently, make strong technical decisions, and move quickly without sacrificing reliability.What you'll do:Architect and build production systems that power AI agents handling complex, high-volume workflowsOwn product features end-to-end, from customer discovery through design, implementation, deployment, and iterationScale core platform infrastructure to support growing traffic, model complexity, and integrationsImprove system architecture, data flows, observability, and engineering practices across the organizationPartner with product, design, and AI teams to translate model capabilities into reliable user-facing experiencesWhat we're looking forA track record of designing, shipping, and owning production systems through multiple iterations and scale pointsStrong systems design instincts and the ability to reason independently about scalability, reliability, and architectural tradeoffsA genuine bias for action; comfortable moving from idea to working code without waiting for permissionSelf-direction in ambiguous environments; you can identify the right problem before being told what to solve3-6+ years of professional software engineering experienceComfortable working in person in a collaborative office environmentNice to haveHands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)Exposure to building or scaling LLM-powered or agentic systemsBackground in high-throughput, real-time production systemsWhy this roleMost senior engineering roles are about optimizing existing systems. This one is about building them. You'll be early enough to shape technical direction, but late enough that the company is generating real revenue from real enterprise customers.
