QC Technician II
Job Description:Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform fit-for-purpose testing following operating procedures to support manufacturing activities.Conduct in-line and finished product release testing using analytical chemistry techniques.Prepare standards and samples for analysis and operate laboratory instrumentation with minimal supervision.Document and report analytical testing data in LIMS and laboratory notebooks following good documentation practices.Support out-of-specification (OOS) investigations through testing and documentation.Recommend improvements for instrumentation methods and laboratory processes.Participate in Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain laboratory housekeeping and compliance standards.Perform additional duties assigned by the laboratory supervisor.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related scientific discipline.Minimum 2 years of industry or laboratory experience.Experience in chemistry, pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated laboratory environments preferred.Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience with wet chemistry, chromatography, and analytical instrumentation.Familiarity with USP/NF, EP/BP, JP, and FCC analytical methods.Experience reviewing laboratory notebooks and analytical test documentation.Critical Skills NeededStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Excellent written and verbal communication.Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.Effective organizational and problem-solving abilities.Ability to support process improvement initiatives.Technical SkillsLIMS database documentation.Analytical chemistry techniques.Wet chemistry testing.Chromatography systems.Laboratory instrumentation.GMP/GDP documentation practices.Lean Six Sigma methodologies.EducationBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field required.CertificationsNo certifications required.
