This unique environment combines the agility and innovation typical of a startup with the stability, proven culture, and established resources of Hendrick Technical Solutions.Job Summary: The Inventory Specialist is responsible for executing a range of responsibilities - pick list processing, product receiving, warehouse inventory, and systems management. This role is tasked with monitoring inventory levels, the picking of materials and supplies for delivery to production. Overall, this role will work with the Supply Chain Manager and purchasing team to maintain adequate inventory supply while streamlining delivery of product to the production environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Fulfill the pick list requirements with high accuracy and timelinessUnderstand principles of serialized inventory and inventory trackingDevelop understanding of the manufacturing process to facilitate effective and efficient fulfillment and optimizationAttend walk-up counter and fulfill on demand product or supply requestsProcess transactions in the inventory system to maintain accurate and current inventory balancesActively monitor physical inventories to prompt re-order and/or to identify and resolve variances or stock issuesInvestigate inventory discrepancies, identify the root cause and correctionProcess daily shipments, following receiving process and inspectionAppropriately distribute products and/or stock materials in their proper locationPhysically transfer or collect products or supplies to/from internal manufacturing centers and quality control centersMaintain storeroom organization and cleanliness and operation in adherence to company standards and expectationsConduct weekly spot counts to maintain inventory accuracyDirectly participate in the end of year inventory count procedures and reportingCreate spreadsheet reporting in routine or as requestedSupport inventory projects as assigned by ManagerSupport other storeroom duties as neededIdentify opportunities to improve current processes and contribute to the development of new initiativesContribute to continuous improvement through participation in cross-functional project teamsQualifications:Demonstrated ability to deliver time-sensitive projects on-time and on-qualityDemonstrated ability and desire to perform in a high paced, high precision manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability to work in computer applications and transaction processingDemonstrated ability to self-directStrong attention to detail and accuracyCritical thinking skillsFlexible and creative thinkingAbility to stand, crouch, reach, and lift 50+ pounds for 6+ hours a dayEducation/Experience:Associates degree or related experience preferred.2+ years' experience in traditional manufacturing, preferredWorking knowledge of ERP systems, specifically inventory management required.Demonstrated ability in identifying and implementing structure in otherwise flexible/fluid operations.Highly organized with strong attention to detail.Ability to persist and succeed with cross-functional communication within scope of responsibility.Strong written and oral communication skills.Must have independent problem-solving skills and the discipline to follow-up and follow-through until problems are resolved.This role subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements and as such, U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident or U.S. Person Status Required.
