Retail Accountant

About the Role The primary responsibility of the Retail Accountant is to support inventory, fixed assets and retail accounting using SAP and Teamworks. Working with a high performing team to perform day-to-day reconciliations and accounting activities and ensuring accurate timely accounting in accordance with GAAP. We will only consider applicants who are able to commute to either of our two locations: San Leandro, California, or Haslet, Texas. You’ll Make a Difference by Managing retail stores cash and revenue reconciliations Overseeing retail fixed assets accounting and budget Performing regular retail inventory reconciliations, ensure inventory accuracies Participating inventory audit and semi-annual inventory physical inventory at stores Supporting the Accounting department with special projects and process improvements, working with other stakeholders in the company Other tasks may be assigned About You The ideal candidate will be a team player, have a good understanding of accounting principles Be very detail oriented and accurate, and possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills A proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced rapid growth environment Able to meet deadlines in a timely manner The ability to maintain a positive attitude and foster a consistently fun, supportive, and positive work environment The ability to work well with all cross functional partners and communicate effectively throughout the organization Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting (or relevant discipline) Experience with SAP and retail or consumer products industries is desirable 2+ years of related experience About Ariat Ariat is an innovative, outdoor global brand with roots in equestrian performance. The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $87,000 per year. The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations.
