Accounting SpecialistSenske Family of Companies (SFC) is currently hiring for an Accounting Specialist to assist the finance department with various accounting-related duties.Responsibilities:Bill payment and applicationPosting of checks and other depositsWork with other accountants to consolidate supporting documentation and resolve discrepanciesReconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned. Identify and timely resolve/clear any reconciling itemsEnsure that entries are appropriately classified and in the correct account and are fully supportedPrepare and record adjusting journal entries as neededBusiness License renewalsRespond timely to both internal and external requests as neededPeriodically solicit feedback from internal contacts for performance and improvementCommunicate with accountants about any issuesOther duties and special projects as assignedQualifications:2-Year Accounting certification or degree OR (Relevant work experience may be substituted for certification or degree)Previous experience with: Sage software (preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, (especially Excel skills), Understanding of accounting principles including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, payment posting, accrual entries, etc.We Offer:Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits packageCompetitive pay - Life is expensive!
