Senior DO-254 Hardware EngineerWe are supporting a leading engineering services organisation within the aerospace and avionics sector that is seeking experienced Senior Hardware Engineers with strong DO-254 expertise to support safety-critical aerospace and defence programmes.This role will focus on the design, development, verification, and certification of complex airborne electronic hardware systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop safety-critical electronic hardware for aerospace and avionics applicationsSupport hardware development activities in accordance with DO-254 guidelinesDevelop and review hardware requirements, architecture, and design documentationPerform hardware verification and validation activitiesSupport certification and compliance documentation for airborne electronic hardwareCollaborate closely with software, systems, FPGA, and verification engineering teamsParticipate in design reviews, testing, debugging, and technical problem solvingSupport traceability, configuration management, and audit readiness activitiesRequired ExperienceProven experience working within DO-254 environmentsStrong background in aerospace or safety-critical hardware developmentExperience with FPGA, digital hardware, or avionics electronics designUnderstanding of the hardware certification lifecycle and associated documentationExperience performing verification and validation activitiesAbility to work within complex, highly regulated engineering programmesPreferred ExperienceExperience with VHDL or VerilogFamiliarity with Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or similar FPGA technologiesAerospace, avionics, or defence industry experienceExperience supporting DAL A or DAL B programmesFamiliarity with requirements and verification tools such as DOORS or similarAdditional InformationRemote working availablePreference for candidates based in or around Dallas, TXContract and long-term engagement opportunities available
