Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsAs an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI scans and take radiographs according to the standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs Magnetic Resonance procedures to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomical images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.You will prepare patients for procedures; providing instructions in order to obtain desired results, gain cooperation and minimize anxietyYou will complete required documentation on forms, logs, work station and MeditechYou will administer contrast using proper techniqueYou will produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patientsYou will label images and identify according to protocolYou will communicate pertinent information to interpreting radiologist in a timely mannerWork Schedule: Friday-Monday, 0830-1900What qualifications you will need:One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care settingOne year experience performing MRI procedures in an acute care setting - preferredGraduate an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic TechnologyCompletion of courses in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and cross-sectional anatomyCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policyAmerican Registry of Radiology Technologists certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT (MR))St. David’s Medical Center, part of St. David’s HealthCare, is a comprehensive medical facility with three locations: St. David’s Medical Center, Heart Hospital of Austin, and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital.
