In this highly visible role, The Assistant Director of Career Development and Engagement is instrumental in providing career and performance coaching to accelerate the critical crossover between individual employee and firm goals.Working at the intersection of personal, performance and career coaching, leadership development, training and project management, the Assistant Director of Career Development and Engagement will provide both individual and group coaching, training, and programmatic support to help team members proactively “own their careers” so they can be engaged, growing and productive at work. They will translate coaching themes into wider firm needs and work closely with the Career Development and Engagement Team to identify the best methods for coaching delivery as we continue to scale.This role is supervised by the Director of Career Development and is part of a 3-person team and larger Talent Management Team of 10 people. The team is comprised of a Director, another Assistant Director, and a Talent Management Coordinator who provides scheduling and administrative support. This is a new role.Core DutiesCoachingProvide Individual Coaching and Triage Support for an assigned case load of approximately 60 Team MembersManage the delivery and documentation for coaching team membersMeet with performance managers to align expectations between individual and firm-objectivesCollaborate with L&D and Talent Management on training and performance issuesTrainingCollaborate with Career Development and Engagement Team to translate 1-1 coaching themes into training needsCollaborate with Learning and Development Advisor to identify solutionsBecome Certified in TypeCoach (Company Paid)Provide back-up and or co-teach existing career development programs (Full Potential Friday, TypeCoach Tuesday, Feedback Lab, New hire orientation)Create/Co-Create additional trainings as neededAdditional DutiesTrack KPI’s for coaching appointments, training, and program effectiveness.Contribute to the quarterly dashboard and partner updatesContribute to Talent Management Firm-wide communications (newsletter, updates, HUB posting)Meet with resource management to deliver coaching trendsTriage performance and potential retention issuesSupport other firm program initiatives as neededRequired Skills7+ years' experience providing career development coaching/advisingGraduate training (or equivalent) in counseling and coachingStrong verbal and written communication skillsProven experience developing and leading in-person and remote trainings for small to large groupsStrong presentation skillsStrong emotional IntelligenceStrong experience in project managementAbility to move from strategy to executionDemonstrated experience in personal, career and/or performance coachingStrong technology competencies (Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Office)Comfort with ambiguityAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and growing companyAbility to work with all levels within an organization from new college hires through c ’suiteAdditional Desired SkillsMBTI or TypeCoach CertifiedExperience working in a professional services environmentExperience engaging a remote workforceExperience with employee engagement programsCoaching CertificationAdditional InformationAAFCPAs offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports both your professional growth and personal well-being.
