Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: South Carolina RN License or Compact License in hand prior to start Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in MS/Tele, telemetry interpretation, and monitoring - Ability to float within scope as needed Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical Telemetry. The shift is a 3x12 hour night schedule. Ratios are 1:5, and weekend coverage is required every other weekend. The unit is new, built from the ground up. Current staffing includes 2 RNs and 1 tech for every shift. There is no off-shift management scheduled, but leadership is available by phone during those hours. The facility provides 24/7 house supervisor coverage. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. Candidates must have experience with the interpretation of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring. Community hospital experience is preferred but not required. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Common diagnoses include diabetes, hypertension, chronic respiratory illnesses, and arrhythmias. There will be assignments to emergency response teams during hurricane season. All employees should be aware of this requirement and plan accordingly. Travelers should ensure they have no planned time off that would interfere with compliance. The submission process will prioritize candidates with an active South Carolina RN License.
