Locum Tenens Opportunity: Gastroenterology Physician Near STARTEX SC Profession: Physician Specialty: Gastroenterology Shift: Day 5x9-Hour (08:00 - 17:00) Job Details Start Date: 8/5/2024 End Date: 2/5/2025 Contract Length: 6 months Shift Details Mon, Wed, Fri: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM (surgical center) Tues, Thurs: 8:00 AM ??? 5:00 PM (clinic) Work Details Each provider rotates hospital call every other week. After-hour consults are seen before and after office hours at 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Urgent consults after hours and weekends are sent to other campuses. Support Staff 2 mid-levels 2 CMAs 2 RNs 2 Registration Staff 1 Office Supervisor Coverage Needed Full-time coverage per month Patient Details Patients per day: 14 Patient population/age: Adult Department Description Combination of hospital rounding, clinic, and consults. 7 exam rooms No admissions Technology EMR: EPIC Technology: Pill Camera (No lab or x-ray on site) Hospital Information Bed Size: 169 Special Procedures Preferred Procedure: PEG Required Skills: GI Endoscopy (upper and lower) with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs laser), banding of varices, Esophageal dilation/manometry, small bowel biopsy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp. Not Required Procedures: Internal Medicine, ERCP, EUS, Liver biopsy, Esophageal manometry interpretation or Insertion/management of Sengstaken or Blakemore tube.
