Director, Thought Leader Engagement Marketing

Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be a key member of the Thought Leader Engagement team for the Psychiatry Marketing franchise at Alkermes. The Psychiatry franchise consists of ARISTADA, a long acting injectable for schizophrenia, and LYBALVI, an oral treatment for schizophrenia and bipolar 1 disorder. The role will be responsible for strategic planning and execution of peer-to-peer education across the franchise including speakers bureau, product theaters, webcasts, and conferences. In addition, the role is responsible for gathering HCP insights through advisory boards.Alkermes has adopted a hybrid working environment to support and meet the needs of employees and this role will operate in a flexible environment with 60% of time in the office and 40% from home.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Lead franchise commercial strategy for speakers bureauLead franchise commercial strategy for key congresses and meetingsDevelop content for peer-to-peer education and gain approvals through CCC processManage 1 direct reportPlan and implement national and regional conference product theatersPlan and implement national and regional webcasts for peer to peer educationDevelop working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in psychiatryServe as Thought Leader Engagement team liaison to brand teams and through brand planning processMonitor effectiveness of marketing program strategies and investmentsProactively share insights & analytics with internal stakeholders to optimize brand strategy Lead HCP commercial advisory boardsManage key vendor and agency relationshipsManage Thought Leader Engagement team budgetQualificationsMinimum Education & Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in business/science, advance degree preferred 12+ years of years of experience with positions of increasing responsibilityPreferred Skills And Knowledge QualificationsUnderstanding of the FDA promotional guidelines and approval process and experience working with review committeesStrategic thinker with the ability to forge focused business strategies with internal and external stakeholdersSignificant analytic skills, able to clearly interpret and distill scientific, clinical and commercial informationAbility to effectively plan, prioritize, execute, follow up, anticipate problems, and find solutionsAbility to work across multiple functions (sales, compliance, finance, public affairs, medical affairs, etc.)Ability to influence and gain consensus from peers and managementStrong writing and presentation skillsUnderstanding of industry code of conduct and ethicsTravel RequirementsOvernight travel ~20% including weekend travel at times for key conferences, advisory boards, & training meetingsThe annual base salary for this position ranges from $177k to $210k. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, training, knowledge, and experience.
