Senior IT Procurement Analyst – Software & SaaSJob Type: Contract-to-HireLocation: Hybrid – On-site training for the first 3–4 weeks, followed by 4 days remotePosition OverviewWe are seeking a Senior IT Procurement Analyst specializing in Software & SaaS Management to manage and optimize an organization’s growing software portfolio. This role will oversee end-to-end IT procurement activities, including software acquisitions, contract renewals, license optimization, vendor evaluation, and negotiations.The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of IT products and services, procurement processes, financial principles, vendor management, and contract evaluation. This position requires strong research, analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end procurement activities for software, SaaS, hardware, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, and IT services.Manage software acquisitions, renewals, licensing, and vendor relationships.Evaluate IT vendors, products, services, pricing, and contractual terms.Develop and manage RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.Conduct market and vendor research to identify cost-effective solutions.Analyze proposals and provide recommendations for supplier selection.Support contract negotiations and vendor discussions.Identify opportunities for license optimization, cost savings, and procurement efficiencies.Partner with IT, Legal, Finance, Information Security, and business stakeholders throughout the procurement lifecycle.Review existing software agreements and identify opportunities for consolidation and optimization.Ensure procurement activities align with applicable policies, regulations, financial principles, and organizational requirements.Research emerging technologies and assess potential products and services.Provide recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.Manage procurement projects independently while working with cross-functional teams.Maintain accurate procurement, vendor, contract, and financial documentation.Required QualificationsStrong experience in IT procurement, technology sourcing, or IT vendor management.Hands-on experience with Software and SaaS procurement and contract management.Experience managing software licenses, renewals, and vendor negotiations.Experience with RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes.Strong research, analytical, evaluation, and negotiation skills.Knowledge of IT products and services, including software, SaaS, hardware, cloud, telecommunications, and managed services.Ability to evaluate vendor proposals and make well-supported recommendations.Strong understanding of financial and procurement principles.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently with general supervision and manage multiple procurement projects.Preferred QualificationsExperience with software asset management (SAM) or SaaS management.Experience with large or complex software portfolios.Experience negotiating enterprise software agreements and renewals.Experience working with Legal, Finance, IT, and Information Security teams.Knowledge of emerging technology procurement and cloud services.Experience working in a regulated or public-sector procurement environment.
