Position Summary:
We are looking for a Software Developer I – CMS/WordPress Developer professional. The professional is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom WordPress-based CMS solutions for internal and public-facing platforms. The candidate will collaborate with UX designers, stakeholders, and product teams to deliver performant, secure, and scalable content management systems aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop responsive websites and user interfaces using WordPress CMS and PHP, integrating seamlessly with back-end services and APIs.
Configure, manage, and maintain in-house WordPress environments, ensuring robust performance and availability.
Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and templates; implement widgets, plug-ins, and shortcodes to meet design specifications.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers and stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and fidelity to design.
Develop reusable component libraries and enforce consistency across the web architecture.
Implement ARIA-accessible forms and validate them using client-side JavaScript.
Utilize front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., ReactJS, Angular, Webpack).
Ensure SEO best practices and WCAG compliance across all deliverables.
Conduct performance optimization to ensure responsiveness across browsers and devices.
Collaborate using version control platforms and agile tools; participate in peer code reviews and retrospectives.
Required Experience:
4–6 years in WordPress CMS, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
2–3 years working with accessibility standards (ARIA).
Experience with modern front-end frameworks (Angular, ReactJS), Webpack/Gulp (1–2 years).
1–2 years working with Bootstrap and WordPress in a collaborative environment.
Desired Skills:
Proficiency in image editing tools (Photoshop, GIMP).
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to lead technical design reviews and code walkthroughs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $77,220.01 - $123,757.22 per year
