Job Overview
Flexible, individual with catering and customer service experience for a growing catering company and pop up. This team member will be responsible for administrative and marketing tasks as well as food prep and customer service for pop-ups, events, cooking classes and catering. They will work alongside the Chef-Owner in the kitchen, attend weekly planning meetings, prepare vegetables, serve customers, and wash dishes. Must have reliable transportation and driver’s license. This position demands creativity on a daily basis, excellent communication skills, and ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards. Must work well under pressure, be organized, and self motivated.
Must be friendly and work well within a team. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
Fast learner, attention to detail, and flexible in schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends
Some Responsibilities and Duties
Attend all markets, pop up events, and cooking classes and provide exceptional service to customers and participants
Must be able to engage with customers to build relationships and create positive experiences for them
Prep all ingredients for cooking by Kitchen Manager
Clean work area before, during, and after each shift
Maintain all Health Department guidelines regarding safe food practices
Accurately portion product for serving while at market
Wash all cookware during cooking and after each shift
Understand and comply consistently with standard portion sizes, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
Attend all scheduled employee meetings
Prepare a variety of vegetables using knives and food processor, and portion bags
Process prepared foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, and electric stoves
Assist chef by preparing ingredients, keeping the kitchen clean and orderly
Assumes responsibility for quality, food safety/sanitation
Perform all other tasks as assigned by Chef Kuukua in an efficient and timely manner.
Requirements

● Food Handlers certification
● Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
● Ability to lift up to 30lbs and bend to lift
● Must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination
● Applicants must have access to consistent transportation and have a driver's license
● Prior experience in food service, as server or line cook, preferred.
Reports To
Assistant will report to and work directly under Chef Kuukua Yomekpe.

Compensation:
● $15/hour
● One meal each shift
● Tips at each event shared with other workers
