Applications will only be accepted while the posting remains active.The Senior Technical Sales Engineer leads efforts with Account Managers in promoting sales, securing orders, and building key technical lines in our business. Responsible for calls on relevant accounts, consults with customers on product and system applications, develops marketing plans and strategies, and keeps management informed of its successes. Provides input to sales and marketing staff on customer needs and concerns regarding pricing, products, competition, procedures, and market potential. Works with the Support engineers to ensure they are providing the technical product support needed by branches and customers.Responsibilities include experience with Landis+Gyr technology solutions, representing Landis+Gyr and Border States at industry events, documenting and tracking the sales pipeline, advising management on the implementation and success of marketing plans and strategies, mentoring new hires, and contributing to high level, technically centered conversations with consultants, customers, and employees related to product technology.Qualifications include a 4-year technical or engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred, minimum 5 years of experience with technical and business aspects of the focus area required, excellent customer service skills, and ability to effectively plan, organize, and present.Physical requirements include occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs. from waist and floor, frequently sitting, standing, and walking, and continuously talking and using a computer.Additional information includes a salary range of $101,000.00 to 142,777.00 based on experience, a competitive benefits package, and equal opportunity employment practices.
